Take Action

Your Testimony is Needed

The Massachusetts legislature needs to hear from us!  They're holding a hearing on the State's COVID distribution plans.


Tell the Joint Committee:


  • Individuals with Type 1 Diabetes are at as much risk, if not higher, as people with Type 2 Diabetes for complications due to COVID.
  • Denying the science puts an estimated 35,000 of the 680,771 adults with diabetes in MA receiving their vaccine later than others with the same risks.    
  • We have fallen behind 22 other states including  the surrounding states of NH, RI, Vermont, and NY.  Additional states include Alabama, Mississippi, Nebraska, Wyoming, California, Kansas, Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Include supporting data studies


Submit written testimony to:  JointCommittee.COVID-19@malegislature.gov 

Follow up with individual members and your Representative and Senator: Find Your Legislator


* 35,000 is an estimate based on 5% of the adult population in MA with diabetes having type 1.

Legislative Annoucement: Hearing on February 25

Public Hearing Notice for the Joint Committee on Covid-19 and Emergency Preparedness and Management

The Joint Committee on Covid-19 and Emergency Preparedness and Management will hold its first in a series of oversight hearings on the state’s COVID-19 vaccination distribution plan on Thursday, February 25, 2021. The hearing will be held by the newly created Joint Committee and will seek testimony from the Baker Administration on the state’s COVID vaccine distribution operation and plans moving forward.

Oral Testimony is by invitation only. 


The Joint Oversight Hearing will be held remotely. Testimony will be by invitation only, but the hearing will be viewable to the public. A series of similar hearings will be scheduled in the coming weeks.
